Professor Mr. Mat


Professor Mr. Mat has a working career of 45 years in the Machine shop industry. Starting in 1975 at a college where he was taught by his dad, who was a professor at the time. His father taught Professor Mr. Mat everything from how to use manual lathes and mills, as well as geometric math. Professor Mr. Mat carried on his teachings and practices into his career as a machinist. Additionally, Professor Mr. Mat developed his skills further by becoming a CNC programmer and lastly became a process engineer. In addition, Professor Mr. Mat developed skills on CNC lathes, mills, and Wire EDM machines, as well as EDM sinker machines. As a process engineer, Professor Mr. Mat generated setup instructions and tool lists with each program operation. Lastly, Professor Mr. Mat created router documentation for workshop flow of parts processed for customer parts. Workers in the shops referred to Professor Mr. Mat as “Professor” because he could give them an answer to any question, whatever they were working on. Machining has always been a passion and love for Professor Mr. Mat. After retiring from the machine shop industry, Professor Mr. Mat developed a love for creating great quality coloring books due to his knowledge of CAD (computer aided design) software used during his career.
